Throughout 2016, we assisted with the annual Three Principles Conference in multiple ways, and it culminated at the end of October for the live event. Over 300 people attended live at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Westlake California, and for the first time, virtually from around the world. Our responsibilities included developing a new “conference style” web site (to provide booking, schedule and location information, process ticket orders, etc) setting up and monitoring the livestream feed experience and chat room, including email communications and customer service, on-site support, consultation for AV needs for over 20 different breakout sessions, some staging setup, and assistance negotiating pricing with the hotel which saved the organization thousands of dollars – simply by knowing what to ask.
We also got to enjoy many of the great speakers and catch up with old friends from this wonderful community! #RedefiningHappiness. Our follow-up tasks included processing the livestream video to the organization’s Vimeo account, making it available online to all attendees on a membership site to restrict access, and crunching numbers and statistics from the weekend.
