Color is one of the first things people notice about a brand, and there are a few colors which get the most play: blue, red, black/grayscale, and yellow. 95 percent of companies only use one or two colors, 5 percent use more than two, 41 percent use text only, and 9 percent don’t feature the company name at all. These different variables are what make choosing a color scheme and logo tricky: do you play it safe and go with the majority, or blaze a trail on a less trodden path with a less certain outcome?
This infographic created by Marketo doesn’t just look at the colors, but digs deeper and looks at specific industries, the colors they choose, and how they affect consumers. This may be helpful when choosing colors for your web site, logo and overall branding strategy.
